Ukrainian drone hit the radar of a Buk-M2 air defence system
A drone of the Security Service of Ukraine struck the 9S36 radar station, part of the Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system.
Video of the moment of impact was published by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The radar station was detected by a reconnaissance drone and at the time of impact was not conducting radar monitoring of the airspace.
The impact occurred with precise targeting at the center of the combat complex by an aerial type drone, which, according to released footage and the blast wave, caused significant damage.
It is worth noting that recently operators of the 14th Separate UAV Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck a radar station from the Buk-M3 complex — 9S36M "Viking".
In total, the enemy lost 13 units of radar stations for detecting low-altitude targets 9S36: 8 from the Buk-M2 complex and 5 from the Buk-M3.
