Ukraine has lost about 40% of its working-age population — Marchak

The First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, Marchak, reported significant losses in the working-age population due to the war.

According to him, about 1.7 million Ukrainians who were working in the country before the war are currently abroad.

To fully restore the economy, Ukraine needs to additionally attract 4–5 million workers. At the same time, 74% of employers are already experiencing staff shortages, and the average personnel deficit in companies is about 15% of the total staff.
