Due to a strike by Russia on the power lines, the Zaporizhzhya NPP is in blackout again — Ministry of Energy

As a result of the attack by Russian occupation forces, the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant suffered another blackout.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the enemy struck the power line connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP to Ukraine’s unified energy system. This line provided critically important power supply for the plant’s own needs, including maintaining the level of radiation safety.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Zaporizhzhya NPP has completely lost external power supply for the eighth time and has repeatedly approached blackout conditions.

The Ministry of Energy emphasizes: this is yet another act of nuclear terror by the Russian Federation, posing a threat not only to Ukraine but to the entire world.
