Morning shooting in Troyeschyna: 48-year-old owner of local tire service killed

This morning, July 8, around 7 a.m., a murder occurred in the Desnianskyi district of the capital. According to preliminary investigations by law enforcement, an unknown individual approached a parked car on the street, inside which was a man, and shot him with a weapon, then fled.

This was reported by the Kyiv police. The police have already identified the deceased as a 48-year-old local resident.

Law enforcement continues their work at the scene, conducting operational and investigative activities to identify and apprehend the individual involved in committing this particularly serious crime.

The punishment for committing intentional murder is up to fifteen years of imprisonment.

A friend of the deceased, named Viktor, told journalists that he does not know what could have been the reason or motive for such a crime. He had known the deceased, Oleksandr, for about 5 years; Oleksandr had a small business—a tire repair shop. When Viktor’s daughter fell ill, Oleksandr financed the expensive treatment.

"About 30 minutes before this tragedy, Yuliya, my daughter, talked to him. ’Everything is fine,’ he replied to her, saying he was going to work," shared the acquaintance of the businessman who died.

According to the friend, the body of the deceased was left with gold jewelry and a bundle of money that the killer did not take.
