"Attempted to steal secret production technologies of Ukrainian Neptune missiles": Security Service of Ukraine detained Chinese spies

In Kyiv, the SSU detained two Chinese citizens accused of attempting to smuggle secret documents regarding the Ukrainian missile system "Neptune" to the PRC.

According to the investigation, the suspects are a 24-year-old former student of one of Kyiv’s technical universities who was expelled in 2023 for academic debts but remained in Kyiv, and his father, who resides permanently in the PRC but periodically visits Ukraine. The investigation believes that the purpose of his visits was to coordinate his son’s espionage activities.
