An officer of the Security Service of Ukraine, whose life was cut short on Thursday, July 10, as a result of a gunshot, Ivan Voronych coordinated the work of operational employees.

This was reported on-air by KYIV24 by the Ukrainian military, counterintelligence officer, Colonel of the SSU Roman Chervinskyi. According to him, the deceased led a large unit of the SSU and built an excellent team.

Chervinskyi noted that he personally knew Ivan Voronych and even achieved positive results in work together with him. At the same time, he believes that the current Ukrainian authorities are not interested in such work of the SSU that the deceased was responsible for. After all, they focus more on image than on important operations.

"He personally took part in several operations on that side. We are not talking about them now because they were successful. He was an officer with a pure soul, a true and worthy man who stood by every word of his," the colonel said.

After the start of the full-scale war, the deceased resumed his activity "in active measures". Chervinskyi adds that Voronych, who was killed, lived a fairly simple life and recently received an apartment in Kyiv. In addition, his service achievements were recognized only recently.
