BES Commission: We will not review the candidates, the Cabinet of Ministers must appoint the selected head

The commission for selecting the Director of the Bureau of Economic Security decided not to review its decision. Both Ukrainian commission members and international ones agreed with this.

This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

The head of the commission, Laura Ștefan, stated that reviewing the decision is impossible, all checks, including the special check, were completed by the candidates, and the commission has absolutely no authority to review anything.

At this stage, the commission has completed its work and returned the documents to the Cabinet.

According to Zheleznyak, all Ukrainian delegates also supported this position.

"In short, the Bureau of Economic Security selection commission returned the government’s idiotic letter and said they would not review the decision and the candidates; that the decision and the Cabinet’s demand do not comply with the law.

In short, they returned the letter and are waiting for the Government to comply with the law regarding the appointment," the parliamentarian noted.

Zheleznyak added that there have been no new letters from the Government from the SSU.

"They made this illegal decision solely based on that letter from the SSU, which:

- stated that there was something about three candidates regarding relatives with probable Russian citizenship. That’s it. The letter is of DSK type (not even secret, as was claimed)... but in fact, it is exactly the same as what was discussed on telegram channels before it was sent))))) Well, that’s the kind of leak from the SBU letter, can you imagine?" he concluded.
