The Council is already preparing: Elections in Ukraine will be after the war, - Stefanchuk
Elections in Ukraine will take place only after the martial law is lifted. However, the Verkhovna Rada is already preparing for future elections.
This was reported by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, as quoted by "Novyny.Live".
As the speaker noted, the Rada is currently working on preparations for the elections to address future challenges.
Stefanchuk added that among such challenges are voting by military personnel at the front, Ukrainians abroad, the participation of international observers, and financial support for the elections.
"There is a constitutional restriction—(a prohibition, - ed.) holding on the same day. But there are financial aspects—it’s more reasonable from a financial point of view to hold one election, or separately. These are numerous questions that we must answer... We are working, we are not activating it (the law, - ed.) now, because any such actions cause a wave in society that elections are tomorrow," he said.
