Part of Uzhhorod is left without water supply

In Uzhhorod, on July 23, the water supply from the "Mynay" water intake was suspended due to emergency repair work. As a result, residents of the city’s left bank were left without water supply.

This was  reported by the "Uzhhorod City Water Utility".

Today, July 23, in Uzhhorod, work is being carried out to replace an emergency valve on the water pipeline with a diameter of 500 mm at the intersection of Heroes of the 128th Brigade Street (March 8) and Sikorskyi (Mozhaiskyi) Streets.

In connection with this, approximately from 9:00 AM until the completion of the work, the water supply from the "Mynay" water intake has been stopped.

The temporary lack of water will affect the entire left-bank part and partially the right-bank part of the city. The settlements of the Korytnyanske village council, as well as the areas of the following streets, will also be without water supply:

• Zahorska,
• Zakarpattya,
• The National Guard (Hvardiyska),
• Shchedra (Shchedrina),
• I.Franko,
• Dovzhenko,
• Nezalezhnosti Embankment.

"The water supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the work. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding," the water utility noted.

Residents of Uzhhorod and the surrounding areas were urged to run water through the flush tank systems after the restoration of the water supply for quicker purification. It is also recommended not to consume the water in raw form until it is completely clarified.
