Kravchenko stated that two prosecutors received suspicions: "If there is a crime, there will be accountability"
The head of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko, announced that two prosecutors have been charged with committing criminal offenses. The matter concerns employees from the Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.
Kravchenko emphasized that he is not pleased to report on crimes within the prosecutor’s office, but he does not intend to remain silent or turn a blind eye to crimes. The Prosecutor General stated this on his Telegram channel.

According to Kravchenko, it concerns the deputy head of one of the district prosecutor’s offices in the Chernihiv region. He is accused of organizing the theft of particularly important documents, falsifying official documents, and aiding in the falsification of evidence.
The Prosecutor General noted that the suspect attempted to conceal the illegal transfer of 8,000 hectares of agricultural land to one of the agricultural companies. To commit the crime, he organized the theft of 14 large boxes of documents that were crucial for the examination.
Instead of evidence, a box of newspapers was sent to the expert institution. To cover up the fraud, the prosecutor forged accompanying documents. However, the crime did not go unnoticed, and on July 24, the prosecutor was notified of the suspicion.

In the second case, it concerns a former first deputy head of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office. He is suspected of abuse of influence and disclosure of pre-trial investigation data.
In 2021, for a "reward," he interfered in the investigation in the interests of his acquaintance. The prosecutor asked investigators to register proceedings, conduct interrogations, seize items, and passed this information on to third parties.
Position of the Prosecutor General
According to Kravchenko, motions for preventive measures for the prosecutors are already in court. He emphasized that there will be no indulgences for anyone, especially for those who should have defended the law, but instead neglected it.
The Prosecutor General also noted that there are no and will be no prosecutors "outside the coordinate system" in Ukraine. If a prosecutor’s office employee commits a crime, they will be held accountable according to the letter of the law.
