The new government of Ukraine has identified its main priorities: dignity, security, economy, and reconstruction
The first week of the new Ukrainian Government’s work is behind, and four main priorities have been identified: human dignity, security, economic development, and reconstruction.
This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy, Yuliya Svyrydenko.
According to her, particular attention is currently drawn to the field of social policy, specifically the topic of prosthetics. According to Svyrydenko, the number one task is to ensure that everyone in need – both military and civilians – receives high-quality and modern prosthetics on time and without unnecessary bureaucracy.
The Prime Minister visited the Ukrainian production Esper Bionics, which demonstrates how domestic technologies can change people’s lives. To stimulate the development of this field, the government is preparing to launch a grant program for bionic prosthetics manufacturers. At the same time, it is acknowledged that many patients still have to wait for help or encounter low-quality services. In this regard, the Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Health have been instructed to prepare a concrete plan to address the most pressing issues.
In the field of defense, the focus is on expanding domestic production. In the near future, Ukraine will scale up the production of explosives at its own enterprises. To this end, a new grant competition has been launched as part of the Brave1 platform, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. According to the government’s plan, everything necessary for the front – from technology to chemicals – should be produced domestically, consistently and in the required volumes.
Economic policy is also undergoing restructuring. In particular, the decision of the National Security and Defence Council to impose a temporary moratorium on business inspections by law enforcement agencies has been implemented. This is one of the first steps towards deregulation. Additionally, an audit of state expenditures is starting to reduce excessive bureaucracy. Svyrydenko added that she continues to hold personal meetings with each minister to develop clear actions within the framework of the new Cabinet work program.
