The Russian forces are concentrated around the city, and according to analysts, may continue attempts to encircle from various directions. However, at the moment, no large-scale assault is observed.

"No, the main forces have not entered. Of course, the situation is extremely difficult, and the enemy might try to enter the southern areas of the city sooner or later. But this operation will not be a matter of a day or two—it will be prolonged. Pokrovsk remains one of the key points of this war. Nobody will surrender it. It will be a real hell for the enemy there," the message states.

The absence of Russian troops in Pokrovsk itself was confirmed on the air of Radio Liberty on July 31 by Artem Prybylnov, Head of the Communications Department of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv.
