In the Zaporizhzhya region, Russian paratroopers are massively deserting, - "ATESH"
In the Zaporizhzhya region, the 247th Airborne Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces is facing mass desertions.
This was reported in Telegram by the partisan movement "ATESH".
"Agents of "ATESH" from the 247th Airborne Assault Regiment, based in the occupied Zaporizhzhya region, report mass Unauthorized Absence (UA). This is particularly concerning one of the airborne assault battalions," the message states.
It is noted that the reasons for desertion are obvious – forcibly mobilized Ukrainians from the Kherson, Zaporizhzhya regions, and Crimea do not wish to fight against their own country. Lawlessness, incompetence of the command, refusal to register reports, intimidation, and constant losses on the front only enhance the desire to flee.
The partisans note that servicemen often end up on the list of deserters even after being wounded, as they are “lost” in the documents after being sent to the hospital. Medics do not specify where the soldier is located, and officers attribute everything to an escape.
