Zelenskyy proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to ratify the treaty on a century-long partnership with Britain
On August 2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada on the ratification of the Agreement on a Century Partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Ukraine and the UK signed a historic agreement on century-long partnership on January 16 to deepen security ties and strengthen the partnership for future generations.
This treaty was based on a security agreement signed on January 12, 2024.
In essence, the new agreement expands cooperation between Kyiv and London in the field of security and extends it from a decade to a century-long term.
The document includes cooperation in security and defence issues, the maritime sphere, economy, energy, justice (including international), countering disinformation, among others.
