The Ministry of Defence has simplified the procedure for recording the death, capture, or disappearance of military personnel

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has updated the procedure for documenting the death, captivity, or disappearance of military personnel during combat operations.

From now on, in such cases, an official investigation is not required if there are no signs of a violation. The commander of the military unit can independently issue an order regarding the circumstances of the event.

This decision is intended to expedite the legal processing of the respective statuses for military personnel and their families.
