In Vovchansk, a Chinese mercenary surrendered

On the Vovchansk direction, there is a constant elimination of assault troops, who move forward in small groups. However, from time to time, such groups completely surrender to the Ukrainian defense forces.

This was shared on "Army TV" by "Oleksa," an officer of the 34th Separate Battalion "Vovkodavy" of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.

According to him, the day before, another Chinese mercenary was captured, who had been sent to storm Ukrainian positions. When he was "taken," his life was essentially saved, as in the "meat assault," he had no chance of survival.

“Yes, it’s a Chinese guy, a mercenary who decided to make money in the war in Ukraine. Through complex routes, he reached the Russian army via Russia, signed a contract, and very quickly, within a few weeks, ended up in Vovchansk. There, their scenario is quite similar — first, he was digging, then sent on the assault. In this assault, things didn’t go as he imagined,” noted the officer.

During the attack on Ukrainian positions, his assault colleague was killed. So, he found another group that was hiding in shelter. And after some time, they together decided to surrender. This, "Oleksa" noted, was their only chance.

“Our fighters accepted them, so to speak, which is actually a separate achievement. Because every infantry move in Vovchansk is a very big risk, and taking a prisoner with you additionally exposes you to danger. But our fighters are very humane in this regard, so they led them out,” noted "Oleksa".
