In Volyn, a crowd attacked the TRC vehicle

In the Volyn region, a group of people attacked a service vehicle of the Territorial Center and the police. The incident occurred during the notification of conscripts in the village of Solovychi.

This was reported by the Volyn Regional TRC and SS.

Yesterday, August 7, at approximately 16:30 in the village of Solovychi, Kovel district, during the notification of conscripts, servicemen from one of the RTRC and SS of Volyn region, along with officers of the National Police, were attacked by a group of unidentified individuals.

During a document check, one of the local residents refused to show them and attempted to flee.

At this time, another man, who identified himself as the village head, jumped onto the hood of the service vehicle and broke the windshield with a stone.

The attacker was identified as the head of the Solovychi district - sources in law enforcement agencies informed RBC-Ukraine about this.

A woman involved in the incident also struck the vehicle. Another man, armed with a metal object (it was likely a wrench), broke the side windows and struck the driver three times on the arm.

Later, the movement of the vehicle was blocked by other vehicles, including trucks. About 10 people surrounded the service vehicle and for several minutes struck the vehicle, obstructing the fulfillment of official duties.

The information about this fact was entered into the UDR for signs of a crime provided for in part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It should be noted that this article defines the procedure for detaining a person without a judge’s ruling if they are suspected of committing a crime.

One of the figures was detained under Article 208 of the CPC, and the actions of another figure were preliminarily qualified under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

What threatens the participants

It is worth noting that part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, or "Threat or violence against an official or a citizen performing a public duty," provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to five years.

At the same time, Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, or "Hooliganism," provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to seven years.
