A 36-year-old entrepreneur was detained in Kyiv for promising a draft-age man to organize an illegal border crossing.
For his "services," the perpetrator demanded $18,000, promising to transfer the client to Moldova, bypassing official border checkpoints.
Law enforcement officers detained the fraudster during the money transaction. He is charged with organizing the illegal transfer of persons across the state border. If proven guilty, he faces up to nine years in prison.
