In August, Ukraine’s air defence destroyed over 6,000 aerial targets

During August 2025, the air defence of the Defence Forces destroyed 6,346 aerial targets.

This was reported by the Air Forces.

- 5 aeroballistic missiles X-47 M2 "Kinzhal";

- 55 cruise missiles X-101/Kh-55SM;

- 20 ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/KN-23";

- 20 cruise missiles "Kalibr";

- 4 guided aviation missiles Kh-59/69;

- 9 cruise missiles "Iskander-K";

- 2,129 strike UAVs of the Shahed type;

- 930 reconnaissance UAVs;

- 3,174 UAVs of other types.

During August, the Air Force aviation conducted 651 sorties, including:

- approximately 430 – for fighter aviation cover;

- over 150 – for fire engagement and aviation support of troops.

In August 2025, the aviation of the Defence Forces of Ukraine destroyed 438 aerial targets, struck command posts, logistics facilities, as well as areas of enemy personnel and equipment concentration.
