Situation at the front: Russians attacked almost 40 times in the Pokrovsk direction

Since the beginning of the day on September 16, 85 combat clashes have taken place on the front. The enemy is most intensively advancing on the Pokrovsk direction.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy attempted offensive actions five times. Enemy aviation carried out one airstrike, dropping two guided aerial bombs in total, and conducted 74 shelling attacks, including two from multiple rocket launch systems.

On the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked five times on the Kupyansk direction towards Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane, with two battles ongoing.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian units repelled three attacks towards Shiykivka, Shandryholove, and near Kolodyazi. Two attacks are ongoing.

On the Siversk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled eight enemy attacks – occupier units are trying to advance in the areas of Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and towards the settlements of Vyimka, Yampil, and Dronivka. Three battles are ongoing.

On the Kramatorsk direction, one clash with the enemy occurred in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

On the Toretsk direction, Russian occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders 11 times in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Katerynivka, Poltavka, Rusyn Yar, and towards Ivanopillya and Pleshchiivka. Ukrainian units repelled nine attacks, with two battles still ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have launched 36 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Vilne, Shakhove, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and Novoukrainka. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 29 attacks.

On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy launched nine offensives on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Filiya, Ivanivka, Oleksandrohrad, Maliivka, and Novoivanivka. Four battles are ongoing.

On the Hulyaipole direction, no combat clashes were recorded. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Bilohirya and Zaliznychne.

On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy conducted an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Hryhorivka but did not carry out offensive actions.

On the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks. The occupier’s aviation struck Odradokamyanka with unguided aerial missiles.
