Zelenskyy submitted to the Rada a draft law on sending Armed Forces units abroad
Zelenskyy proposed to the Verkhovna Rada to deploy Ukrainian troops to the United Kingdom and Turkey.
This was discussed in bill 14059 «On the deployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other countries», which was proposed by the president to the Rada.
Defence Minister Shmyhal explained that this bill is necessary in order to send Ukrainian units to the United Kingdom and Turkey to receive complex military equipment and training in its operation.
It is planned to send the Navy corvette «Hetman Ivan Mazepa» (type «Ada») and 106 servicemen to Turkey.
And to the United Kingdom:
- the mine countermeasures vessel «Cherkasy» (type «Sandown») with a standard crew of up to 39 servicemen;
- the mine countermeasures vessel «Chernihiv» (type «Sandown») and up to 39 servicemen;
- the mine countermeasures vessel «Mariupol» (type «Alkmaar») and up to 39 servicemen;
- the mine countermeasures vessel «Melitopol» (type «Alkmaar») and up to 39 servicemen;
- the mine countermeasures vessel «Henichesk» (type «Alkmaar») and up to 39 servicemen;
- Staff of the 1st Mine Countermeasures Division of the Flotilla and up to 20 servicemen;
