81% of activated iPhones in Ukraine are contraband, most of them imported through the "Yabko" network

Smuggled technology from "Yabko" — according to official statistics from mobile operators, in the first quarter of 2025, 250,166 iPhones were activated in Ukraine.

Among them, officially imported (meaning those that passed customs control with tax payment) — only 47,869.

"Yabko" currently has the largest retail network in the country.

In October, the State Customs Service reported that 420 smuggled iPhones were seized in a week. However, the share of smuggled smartphones that were activated amounts to 81% of the total. And that’s in three months.

If you break this number down by weeks, it turns out that 16,858 iPhones are smuggled into Ukraine every week.
