Zelenskyy: Russia’s fear of US Tomahawks can contribute to peace in Ukraine

Russia fears American long-range Tomahawk missiles, and they could be the key to achieving peace in Ukraine.

About this, stated the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He reported that he had a second conversation in recent days with U.S. President Donald Trump. The leaders of the two countries discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, including Patriot and other systems, particularly long-range ones.

"We see and hear that Russia is afraid that the Americans might provide us with ’Tomahawks,’ which is a signal that such pressure could work for peace," Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to the Ukrainian leader, the teams of both countries will work on the issues discussed by the presidents, including matters related to energy and gas.

"I also spoke today with President of France Macron, the key topics being air defence, our resilience, as well as diplomatic measures for the coming weeks; we are coordinating our positions," the President of Ukraine reported.

According to the agreement, Zelenskyy noted, France will receive a list of Ukraine’s most urgent needs, and the delivery will be expedited.
