Zelenskyy confirmed a meeting with Trump in Washington on October 17

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Zelenskyy announced this during a joint press conference with the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas.

"I will meet with President Trump in Washington this week. I think we need to discuss the sequence of steps that I want to propose to the President," Zelenskyy said.

He hopes to have the opportunity to come to Washington this Friday, October 17.

"I also have some other meetings that are important to me. Some military companies that are important. I can’t share details about this," the President explained.

According to him, he also has scheduled meetings with senators and congressmen.

"The main topic is air defense. And, by the way, I will also have a meeting with energy companies. This was needed, it was a proposal from the President. I will have meetings with certain companies because there are certain needs that are required now through various formats. The main topics are air defense and our long-range capabilities to put pressure on Russia," the President emphasized.
