Secretary of the Odesa City Council Ihor Koval has appointed himself as the acting mayor

The Secretary of the Odesa City Council from «Servant of the People» independently appointed himself as acting mayor instead of Trukhanov, who was stripped of citizenship.

A resolution was published on the Odesa City Council website, according to which the duties of the mayor will be performed by the City Council Secretary, Ihor Koval.

The resolution was signed by Koval himself.

As a reminder, Trukhanov states that he will remain the mayor of Odesa until the City Council votes to «take note» of the presidential decree stripping him of citizenship.

At the moment, the City Council has not voted on this matter.
