Due to the fact that the Russian occupiers carried out the largest missile attack on Ukraine in recent times, head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy spent the entire day paying maximum attention to the regions that suffered Russian attacks last night. Wherever there were hits, work is underway to restore the normal situation, the president said.

Zelenskyy promised that all services, repair teams, rescuers of the State Emergency Service, police - all involved will work around the clock. “This is terror by definition, even without any cover,” he said of the Russian attack.

However, Ukraine cannot yet protect itself from such attacks, the head of state said. “Real and complete protection from Russian missiles and suicide bombers is something that is only possible with sufficient political will of the partners. Russian terror is now possible only because we do not have sufficiently modern air defense systems. To be honest, the partners do not have enough political will, to provide them,” the president noted.

Zelenskyy today held a Headquarters for the protection and elimination of the consequences of a missile attack. “Detailed reports from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi and Air Force Commander Oleshchuk. There were also all the necessary reports from Prime Minister Shmyhal, officials and heads of energy companies, regional leaders. Everyone received an absolutely clear framework for action. Responsibility is personal,” the head of state emphasized.

The President also held several international meetings. He met with the Danish Minister of Defence and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe. “They talked, in particular, about the fair responsibility of the Russian state for all terror,” the president noted.

Traditionally, Zelenskyy thanked everyone who defends Ukraine, our people, life and independence. But the president separately noted the employees of the State Emergency Service currently working in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya.
