SAPO demands the confiscation of 8.6 million hryvnia from a Kyiv customs officer
The SAPO filed a lawsuit against the head of one of the sectors of the Kyiv Customs to declare assets worth over UAH 8.6 million unjustified.
Based on NACP materials, a lawsuit was filed with the HACC to declare unjustified assets registered to a relative of an employee of the "Fastiv" customs clearance sector of the "Pivdennyi" customs post of the Kyiv Customs.
In April 2023, the official’s mother purchased a residential building and six plots of land, which constitute one estate in the suburbs of Kyiv, and authorized her son and his wife to represent her on all issues related to these real estate properties. However, an analysis of the income and expenses of the official’s mother established the impossibility of acquiring these real estate objects from legal sources.
At the same time, the official himself, who has been working in public service positions for more than 25 years, and his wife, who worked in the customs authorities until April 2023, did not have legal income and assets to acquire the above-mentioned property.
It was established that after the acquisition of these assets, it was the official and his wife who used them, and not his mother, which indicates, along with other data, that she acquired them as property precisely on behalf of the official.
