Zelenskyy held a meeting with a delegation of the US Congress in the Chernihiv region
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with a bipartisan delegation of the US Congress on Friday in the Chernihiv region.
Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram on Saturday, the president’s website .
“I met with the delegation of the US Congress - both parties, both houses of Congress were represented.
It is important that partners see personally what is happening in Ukraine in our regions, which are shelled by Russian terrorists and have survived the Russian occupation. “I had a meeting with congressmen yesterday in the Chernihiv region.”
Zelenskyy briefed congressmen on the situation on the front lines, the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army and the scale of the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.

“He emphasized that it is vitally important for the US Congress to make an early decision on further support for our state, on an appropriate package for protection against Russian terror and for our further active actions. According to the president’s website, the delegation included Republican Senator Johnny Ernst, Democratic members of the House of Representatives Wiley Nickel, Tom Swozzi, Michael Quigley and Republicans Ashley Ginson and Chuck Edwards.
Zelenskyy noted that in the village of Yahidne, representatives of the delegation saw with their own eyes the consequences of Russian aggression.
