Gas turbine power plants will be brought to Kharkiv to improve the situation with electricity, - Syniehubov
The city will receive gas turbine power plants from partners, which will improve the situation with energy shortages.
This was announced by the head of the RMA Oleh Syniehubov.
The head of the region spoke about the visit to Kharkov of a delegation of ambassadors from Estonia, Denmark, Sweden, France and UN representatives. They inspected the energy infrastructure of Kharkiv, which was damaged by the Russians, and also discussed preparations for the next winter and operating time for the near future.
“We expect that the purchased gas turbine power plants will soon be delivered to Kharkiv, which will help improve the situation due to the shortage of electricity,” Sinegubov said after the meeting with the ambassadors.
Now the city has problems with power supply, and blackout schedules have been introduced. In the spring, the occupiers destroyed the city CHPP-5, as well as the Zmiivska CHPP in Kharkiv region.
According to Sinegubov, there is a lack of capacity in Kharkiv, but there is no threat of a large-scale power outage in the city yet.
“We are not talking about blackouts yet. Planned blackouts are in effect,” Syniehubov said.
