Irpin MP Pikulyk failed to declare millions in assets - investigation

Irpin City Council deputy Oleksandr Pikulyk has not declared property worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias and leads a lifestyle that does not correspond to his declared wealth, and the declaration itself looks more like a fantasy.

This is stated in an investigation by Kyivshchyna Inform journalists.

Officially, MP Pikulyk and his wife Pustavska are registered in houses that are not suitable for living. However, in fact, the Pikulyk family has been living in an elite country house in the resort town of Lisova Bucha for more than 10 years. The cost of which exceeds $500,000! This estate is not listed in the declaration!

The MP also failed to declare valuable watches, antique weapons, land plots and an elite car fleet. In particular, a Mercedes-Benz s63 AMG registered to Halyna Pustavska. The car is in constant use by Pikulyk, and its value is over ten million hryvnias. It was in this car that Pikulyk crossed the border 4 times during the war with the permission of the KOVA. However, at the request of journalists, the administration was unable to provide information about the purpose of Pikulyk’s trips.

The journalists also published documents according to which Pikulyk’s mother spent more than 50 million hryvnias on the purchase of luxury real estate. His wife Pustavska also owns the same property, worth over UAH 10 million. In addition, his wife took over a multimillion-dollar business during Pikulyk’s term as MP. She officially acquired corporate rights in a number of companies that are closely intertwined with her husband.

In total, during his time as a member of parliament, Pikulyk acquired about 40 properties, luxury cars, and multimillion-dollar share capital in several companies. He laundered more than UAH 2 billion through construction schemes alone, which are not mentioned in his declaration. At the same time, the state lost about half a billion in taxes.
