A judge of the Economic Court of Dnipropetrovsk region was suspected of organizing a kidnapping

The judge of the Economic Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region, who ordered the kidnapping of his business partner, was charged with suspicion of attempted kidnapping and organization of unlawful deprivation of liberty (part 2 of article 15, part 3 of article 27 part 2 of article 146 of the Criminal Code).

The State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.

In order to resolve his business affairs, the judge ordered the kidnapping of his partner.

“The Servant of Themis” in 2017, in addition to his main job, decided to receive income from business activities. Due to the official ban on judges from doing business, he found a front man, for whom he began to draw up all the permits.

The judge was interested in the agricultural sector, so his partner registered an agricultural enterprise in the Sumy region. To start a business project, the person involved allocated more than UAH 3 million. For these funds, the figurehead purchased combines, trucks, tractors and other equipment in his name. It was the judge who received most of the profits, and his “partner” had a much smaller income for managing the enterprise.

In order to protect himself from possible provocations on the part of his partner, the judge forced him to enter into a fictitious loan agreement for 5 million UAH, allegedly borrowed by the judge’s partner.

Over time, the enterprise expanded and money was invested in its development, including by the suspect’s partner. However, the judge became less and less satisfied with his partner’s management of the company. At one point, he decided to remove him from society, blackmailing him with a million-dollar loan. However, the man did not want to retire without compensation.

Not finding a common language, the judge decided to influence the situation physically. He ordered representatives of the criminal environment to kidnap his partner. For 17 thousand dollars, the man was to be deprived of his freedom and forced to sign the necessary documents to transfer ownership of the farm property.
