The Court of Appeal upheld the in absentia arrest of oligarch Zhevaho

The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has left the oligarch Kostyantyn Zhevaho under a default arrest in the case concerning the provision of improper benefits to the former head and judge of the Supreme Court, Vsevolod Knyazev.

This decision was made by the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court on September 6.

As is known, the anti-corruption court has initially arrested Zhevaho in absentia. His lawyer filed an appeal against this decision.

«The appeal is to be left unsatisfied. The decision of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court from July 10, 2024, on selecting (Zhevaho, – Ed.) the preventive measure in the form of detention in the criminal proceedings, is to be left unchanged», – the decision states.
