The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with 3 more Patriot launchers

The Netherlands has delivered a radar system for the Patriot to Ukraine. Additionally, our country will soon receive three launchers for this air defense system from Amsterdam.

This was reported in an interview with Delfi by Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans. The country is also trying to find other components necessary to complete the system. According to the Minister, there are several countries that have also expressed a desire to help Ukraine.

"They are doing their best. But they have encountered some difficulties that hinder the assembly of this system. It depends on other countries whether they are willing to cooperate. The reason we are not always open is because we do not want to inform Russia. If I disclose all operational details, it will only make Russia smarter than it already is. And I don’t think we should inform Russia," he noted.

Brekelmans also reported that negotiations with other allies on this issue are ongoing. The official emphasized that he does not want to make statements in advance; all decisions will be announced once they are final.

"Now I know that many countries continue to take a creative approach to the issue of supply, possibly of other air defense systems, not just Patriot, as NASAMS or other options can also be considered. But at the moment I cannot provide any specific details," added the Minister.
