In 2024, 179 arsonists have already been detained in Ukraine

The activities of the Russian Federation in recruiting Ukrainian citizens through Telegram channels remain one of the main causes of destabilization: in 2024, 179 arsonists have already been detained.

This was stated by the Deputy Head of the National Police, Andriy Nebytov, who is quoted by the press service of the  NPU

"These are arsons of military vehicles, railway infrastructure, and state enterprises. The task of the criminal police is to quickly identify and bring the perpetrators to justice to prevent further crimes. Over ten months, the police detained 179 individuals who committed arson at the behest of Russian special services."

Nebytov noted that the National Police maintains a stable criminogenic situation under wartime conditions. Officers in the east work under rocket attacks and direct strikes from FPV drones, solve crimes, and also save lives.
