In the Kyiv region, air defence is operating against enemy drones

On the evening of December 1, Russian forces launched an attack on the Kyiv region using Shahed-type kamikaze drones, prompting the region’s air defence to take active measures.

This information was provided by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KRMA). Residents of the region were urged to stay in shelters until the end of the air raid alert.

"Kyiv region! UAVs have been spotted in the airspace. Air defense forces are working on the targets," wrote the regional military administration.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that air defense is actively working against strike drones within Kyiv itself:

• At around 9:49 PM, one of the drones heading towards the capital was detected, leading to the announcement of an air raid alert in Kyiv.
• By 10:07 PM, other drones moving from the south and east towards Kyiv were reported.
• At around 10:20 PM, explosions were heard in the capital.

Residents of the region are urged to remain in shelters and adhere to information silence rules: do not photograph or publish the air defence actions online.
