New photos of the city of Bakhmut, currently under Russian control, have appeared on social media. The new images reveal the scale of destruction caused by the occupying forces.
The relevant photos have been published on a Telegram channel. What was once a flourishing city has turned into a complete ruin—with destroyed buildings, roads, and infrastructure as evidence of the brutality and consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The published photos show that only debris remains of many residential quarters, and the streets resemble a post-apocalyptic landscape. All high-rise buildings are destroyed, lacking roofs, windows, and in some cases, entire entrances. There are also traces of fires on the buildings.

It is hard to believe that before the full-scale war, Bakhmut was one of the most beautiful cities in the Donetsk region, where millions of roses blossomed, and despite the nearby front, over 70,000 people lived peacefully.
