Volyn TRCs did not allow the ombudsman to communicate with the beaten man

The Volyn Regional and Lutsk City TRC refused the Ombudsman’s representative communication with the man whom the military enlistment office staff beat and took from the hospital on an ambulance stretcher.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

According to him, the Ombudsman’s representative was informed that the beaten man had already been sent to the military unit.

The Ombudsman filed a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor’s Office, accusing the TRC staff of committing a crime.
