MP Shufrych will not be transported from the detention center to the Parliament sessions, - media
Member of Parliament Nestor Shufrych, who is accused of treason, will not be transported from the detention center to sessions of the Verkhovna Rada. He can exercise his powers by sending parliamentary inquiries and appeals, according to the decision of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court.
This was reported in a comment to Ukrinform by an informed interlocutor in law enforcement agencies.
"The ruling does not in any way provide for Shufrych to be delivered to the Verkhovna Rada. It is about things like parliamentary inquiries and appeals – things he can carry out considering his current status and place of stay," the interlocutor said.
According to him, Shufrych, as well as Member of Parliament Oleksandr Dubinskyi, who is also accused of treason, are already writing parliamentary inquiries and appeals from the detention center.
"They are not restricted in their right to correspondence. Therefore, nothing changes for Shufrych," the interlocutor said.
