Residents of Odesa began the year 2025 by the sea: the promenade is crowded, the beaches are packed with people

The residents and guests of the city gathered on the coast to celebrate the New Year to the sounds of waves and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Many came with families and friends to take memorable photos, listen to street performers, and feel the magic of the first day of the year.

On the beaches, you could see daredevils who traditionally took New Year’s swims in the cold sea, despite the water temperature being around 5°C. Other visitors simply strolled along the coast with hot tea and coffee in hand.

Odessans note that such a celebration has become a kind of symbol of unity, warmth, and optimism amidst challenging times.
