From February 1, Ukrainian banks will introduce restrictions on money transfers
Clients who exceed these limits will need to provide documents confirming their income.
Starting from February 1, Ukrainian banks will impose restrictions on money transfers between individuals, setting a monthly limit of 150,000 UAH for payments by IBAN details.
The corresponding memorandum was signed by the largest banks in Ukraine.
This innovation will only affect clients who do not have documented income. Banks will classify these clients into three risk groups: "high," "medium," and "low." Each group will have separate restrictions.
For clients with a "high" risk level, the limit will be 50,000 UAH per month.
For "medium" and "low" risk groups, the restrictions will be implemented in two stages:
- from February 1, 2025 — up to 150,000 UAH,
- from June 1, 2025 — up to 100,000 UAH.
