Less than a thousand volunteers joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in January through the recruitment system

In January 2025, less than a thousand volunteers joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the recruitment system, although the number of inquiries increased significantly.

According to the Ministry of Defence, in January, 5,381 individuals contacted recruitment centers, which is 80% more than the average monthly figure last year. During the month, the number of candidates who began the process of joining the army increased by 955, reaching 8,109 individuals.

It is noteworthy that on January 15, Deputy Head of the DIU Kyrylo Skybytskyi reported that Russia recruits about 1,000−1,100 volunteers daily.
