The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a rare enemy ship bomb launcher "Smerch-2" on the Lyman direction

Russian occupiers on the eastern front are using a rare weapon in the war against Ukraine - the ship-mounted bomb launcher "Smerch-2". This weapon was developed to destroy torpedoes and underwater vessels of the enemy army.

Currently, the Russians have mounted it on a truck and brought it to the steppes and forests of Donbas. And it was here that the "Smerch-2" was destroyed by the warriors of the 63rd Mechanized Brigade. The video of the strike was published by the operational-strategic group "Khortytsia".

"In the Lyman direction, a rare enemy combat equipment - the ship bomb launcher "Smerch-2" - was destroyed. Our military managed to track and destroy this rare sample of enemy equipment in the forests on the Lyman direction. The military noted that the occupiers mounted the ship bomb launcher "Smerch-2" on a Ural truck base," – said the OSTG "Khortytsia".

However, this rare weapon did not yield significant results for the occupiers.

"The invaders did not take into account one important aspect: you cannot hide from the pilots of the drone systems battalion and their large night drones," – emphasized in the OSTG "Khortytsia".

The Russian ship rocket launcher RBU-600 "Smerch-2" with a caliber of 213 mm is intended for destroying enemy torpedoes and submarines.

It was adopted in the 1960s. It fires bombs, each weighing 113.6 kg, and developing speeds up to 300 m/s. The maximum striking range of this bomb launcher is 5,230 m.
