On the third anniversary of the full-scale war, the leadership of the EU will arrive in Kyiv
The EU leadership – the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission – announced a visit to Kyiv on the third anniversary of the full-scale war, February 24.
This was stated by the President of the European Council, António Costa, on his X (Twitter).
Costa announced that he would travel to Kyiv on February 24 along with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
"February 24 marks the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I have decided on this occasion to visit Kyiv, along with Ursula von der Leyen, to reaffirm our support for the heroic Ukrainian people and the democratically elected President Volodymyr Zelenskyy," Costa wrote, indirectly responding to Trump’s statements about "Zelenskyy the dictator."
From Costa’s post, it follows that the decision to visit was made in recent days – he additionally apologized to the leader of the African country Côte d’Ivoire and UNESCO leadership for having to reschedule an event planned for that date due to his change in plans.
