Russia attacked Ukraine’s gas infrastructure: production halted in the Poltava region
This morning, March 7, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukrainian territory, using kamikaze drones and missiles of various types.
As a result of the strikes, gas production infrastructure facilities in the Poltava region were damaged, leading to a halt in their operations. According to the Naftogaz company, the production facilities responsible for gas extraction in the region have been affected.
Additionally, fragments of enemy shells fell on private residential buildings in the Myrhorod district, causing destruction and injuries among the civilian population.
Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, noted that energy and gas infrastructure facilities were the main targets of this attack. Currently, specialists are working on restoring damaged networks and gas supply in the affected settlements.
This attack is another example of the deliberate destruction of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure by Russia, aimed at weakening the country’s energy security and creating additional challenges for the civilian population.
