Ukrainian volunteers have had their assistance payment rules rewritten
In Ukraine, the procedure for obtaining a one-time financial aid for families of deceased volunteers and volunteers with disabilities has been changed. Payments will now be made automatically after the first application is submitted without the need for additional requests.
This is reported by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that significantly simplifies the process of receiving one-time financial aid in the event of a volunteer’s death or disability.
This decision aims to remove bureaucratic barriers and speed up payments to those in need. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has informed that applicants can now receive funds without unnecessary procedures and requests.
Previously, the process of submitting documents was complicated and required two separate requests. Initially, it was necessary to submit an application to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs to receive a decision on the payment. After that, the applicant had to contact a structural unit for the direct receipt of funds. This significantly complicated and delayed the process.
From now on, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs will independently make payments. During the submission of the first application, the applicant immediately indicates their bank account, and once the decision is made, the funds are transferred without additional requests.
This will significantly reduce the time it takes to receive financial aid. To receive the payment, one can choose one of several convenient ways to submit documents:
- through the Administrative Services Center (ASC) – regardless of the place of registration;
 - by mail or email directly to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

In addition to simplifying the payment procedure, the government has also approved new application forms and clarified the list of required documents. This is done to ensure that applicants can quickly and without unnecessary problems arrange for assistance. It is expected that these steps will significantly ease access to state support for the families of deceased volunteers and those who have been disabled while assisting the security and defense forces of Ukraine.
