The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a record loss of Russian tanks in the Donetsk region

Russia has reduced the use of heavy equipment in the Pokrovsk direction.

This was reported by Viktor Tregubov, a representative of the operational-strategic group of forces "Khortytsia".

As the military explained, this happened because the occupiers lost about 300 tanks in the first two months of 2025: "It’s important to understand that their reserves are not limitless, and their logistics are also not limitless, so they increasingly encounter unusual situations: sometimes a tank is used instead of an IFV for transporting troops because there are no IFVs, or a tank is not used where it should be because there is no tank. Thus, there are signs of depletion, and once again it primarily concerns the Pokrovsk direction, where they were trying to use them one way or another."
