Two agents of the Russian Federation were directing Russian strikes on the defenders of Donetsk region, - SSU

The Security Service of Ukraine detained two enemy agents in the Donetsk region. They were coordinating Russian army airstrikes on Defence Forces positions in front-line areas.

Each agent acted separately to gather coordinates and necessary data, working for their Russian handler. Their information was used for strikes with guided aerial bombs. This was reported by the SSU and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

One of the detainees is a 41-year-old entrepreneur from the village of New York in the Toretsk community, who lived in Kramatorsk and was involved in food trading. In December 2024, she began collaborating with an employee of the Russian FSB. She came to the attention of Russian special services when she published posts on Telegram channels attempting to discredit Ukrainian defenders.

As a driver, she delivered bread to retail points and observed the situation in the region. Over three months, she provided information on the locations of Defence Forces in Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, and the territories of Toretsk and Illinivka communities. She particularly focused on checkpoints and places with military equipment of Ukrainian forces. She recorded all gathered information on Google Maps and transmitted the data to Russian special services.

The second traitor is a 42-year-old resident of Sloviansk, who began working for Russian military intelligence (GRU) at the end of September 2024.

He sought headquarters and reserve command posts of Ukrainian troops in his city, in the outskirts of a neighboring settlement, and in Mykolaivka, transmitting enemy coordinates of equipment and personnel concentration through an anonymous chat in "Odnoklassniki." His written and graphic reports also contained data on infrastructure and roadways.

During searches, computers and mobile phones with evidence of espionage activities in favor of the occupier country were seized from the criminals. They have been charged with state treason (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), which carries a sentence of life imprisonment with confiscation of property. They are in custody.
