In Kamyanske, police detained a 44-year-old man who opened fire with an automatic weapon

This was reported by the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The incident occurred on April 20 around 14:30 on the left bank of the city of Kamyanske in the courtyard of one of the apartment buildings.

According to RBC-Ukraine sources, a conflict arose between a civilian and a serviceman, the latter being intoxicated.

"The police received a report about an unknown man firing shots from an object resembling an automatic weapon," the report states.

A response team arrived at the scene and detained the offender.

"During the search, a weapon was seized from him, reportedly a Kalashnikov rifle. Initially, the man appeared to be intoxicated," the police reported.

The individual was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Investigative actions are ongoing. The article’s sanction provides for imprisonment for up to seven years.
