The "Carpet" plan was announced at Nadym airport: drones could have reached Yamal
On the morning of May 5, a very interesting piece of news emerged. In Russia, at the "Nadym" airport, restrictions were implemented. This is in Yamal, which is very far from Ukraine.
Nadym is a city in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YaNAO). It is located close to the Arctic Circle, with an average annual temperature in Nadym of -6 degrees Celsius.
Interestingly, there was talk of similar events beyond the Arctic Circle in recent days. The Russians reportedly shot down drones in Murmansk. Meanwhile, Nadym is even further than Murmansk - it is 2,500 kilometers away from Ukraine.
Russian media reported that the "Carpet" plan was announced at the "Nadym" airport in YaNAO starting at 10 a.m. local time. Departures and arrivals were delayed.

Representatives of Rosaviatsia emphasized twice that the restrictions are temporary.
"Crews, air traffic controllers, and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety - it is a priority," they noted.
However, one local Telegram channel wrote: "Drones have reached Yamal."
