Zelenskyy arrived in Vilnius for the "Bucharest Nine" summit
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Lithuania on Monday, June 2, to participate in the "Bucharest Nine" (B9) summit.
This was reported by the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT.
The state aircraft with the head of Ukraine on board landed at Vilnius airport at 10:38 AM.
According to the Lithuanian broadcaster, Zelenskyy will participate in the "Bucharest Nine" summit and the Northern countries in Vilnius.
The meeting is organized by the countries of the region to coordinate their positions ahead of the NATO summit in The Hague. Further support for Ukraine is expected to be discussed.
The so-called "Bucharest Nine" was founded in 2015 as a security cooperation format, consisting of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Within this format, meetings are held at the level of leaders, foreign ministers, and defence ministers.
